school system announces open house dates | Local News

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The 2022-2023 open house schedule for the Colquitt County School District has been set.

“We look forward to welcoming our students and their families for open houses at each of our campuses,” Superintendent Ben Wiggins said. “We encourage all families to attend the Open House as many new and great things are planned for this upcoming school year.”

Colquitt County High School will be holding an open house for 10th graders from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 28.

All other levels will hold an open house on Monday, August 1:

• All elementary schools (pre-kindergarten – 5th grade), 5-7 p.m.

• Willie J. Williams Middle School (Grades 6 and 7), 3-6 p.m.

Students start school on Wednesday August 3rd.

“We want to let families know about the new start and end times for the school day at each school, as well as the addition of the Packer Telehealth program to all elementary schools this year,” said Angela Hobby, director of communications, in a press release. Details on each can be found at

Families are encouraged to attend the open house to meet their children’s teachers. Transportation officials will be present at all schools to help with bus routes.

The Colquitt County School District is part of the Community Eligibility Provision; therefore, all student meals at all school sites will be available free of charge, the school’s press release said.
