IRIS Software Group acquires school management system

UK-based IRIS Software Group has acquired online school management system iSAMS, a move that expands its educational footprint and global reach.

iSAMS provides management information system (MIS) solutions to over 500 UK independent schools and over 500 international schools in 80 countries. IRIS says the acquisition aligns with its vision to be at the heart of school management, ensuring education leaders stay ahead of regulatory changes; streamline school management by automating mundane and complex operational tasks to drive success; and engage employees, parents and students to exchange important information and build valuable relationships.

Kevin Dady, Executive Chairman of IRIS Software Group, said identifying opportunities for international expansion is part of the company’s growth strategy.

“Nationally, we are seeing a growing need for schools to not only move to a SaaS environment for finance, HR and payroll, but also to increase their engagement with parents, provide more detailed reporting and create more efficient and paperless administrative systems.

“IRIS’ heritage, combined with its more than 11,000 customer schools, investments in cloud technology and industry expertise, will help iSAMS in the next phase of its growth,” he said.

iSAMS is a web-based management information system used by everyone involved in a school, from data and staff administrators to students and parents, with a range of reporting and engagement tools. These modules handle all aspects of administration to help schools run efficiently – including admissions, academic reporting and tracking, exams, welfare, communication, HR, fee billing and accounting.
